Default processing times are estimates based on our experience: order confirmations 5 min, sales orders 6 min, shipping notices 4 min, quotes 8 min and invoices 7 min. When you select several document types, the monthly volume applies to each type and we use their average processing time. Direct handling time only; indirect costs such as error disputes, delays, missed discounts and audit effort are excluded.

2. Indicative processing cost reduction

We assume a 75–90% reduction in manual processing effort once the solution is fully in place. The range allows for two factors. The first is the straight-through rate: most documents are processed without intervention, while flagged exceptions still need review. The second is ramp-up: suppliers are connected in stages, so savings build as more of your supplier base comes on board. The lower figure assumes a lower straight-through rate and part of the supplier base still being connected.
